I paint with dots. My work ranges from neo-Pointillist landscapes, like the example above, to geometric abstractions, always using discrete dots of color. My landscapes use dots or slashes of color in playful combinations to celebrate the natural forms of the California landscape. My abstract paintings explore sensual optical and textural effects created from dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of small round dots of paint arranged in complex geometries.
