The Gaudi Wall
9" x 12"
The artist, originally from Texas, has lived in Los Angeles for most of her life and devoted a large portion of that time interpreting the landscape and architecture of Southern California. She earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and M.A. in Humanities from California State University, culminating in her thesis project of a history of Elysian Park with a panoramic rendering of the park's ridgeline, painted from the east bank of the Los Angeles River. She also designed and wrote the interpretive brochure for Runyon Canyon Park and curated the Celebration in Runyon Canyon festival in the 90's. She works mostly in plein air, using watercolor, acrylic and prismacolor pencil to render the delights of Silver Lake, Echo Park and the nearby urban wilderness.
