      Rebecca H. Pollack graduated with a B.F.A. in painting and drawing from Syracuse University.  While living in New York, she credentialed as an art teacher and worked as a graphic designer/illustrator for the New York Aquarium and Bronx Zoo, on a grant from the Cultural Council Foundation.

      

She initially designed for computer graphics after moving to Los Angeles, studied

illustration at Otis Parsons and volunteered as an art teacher in her daughters' classrooms.

       

Rebecca is inspired by diverse subject matter; antique postcards, animals and insects, editorial newspaper photos, landscapes...  She is never without her camera and shoots much of her own reference material.  She is currently working on a series of relief prints, etchings, and watercolor landscapes.  Rebecca has also been involved with her own photography project, archiving certain visual aspects of Los Angeles.
